How I work

Everyone comes for different reasons. Some people already have a diagnosis and are looking for another way to support their health. Others don't really know what's going on yet. They just know they don't feel like themselves.

The first appointment is about building a picture of what's been happening. We'll talk about your main concern, but we'll probably also talk about things that don't seem directly related. Your sleep, digestion, energy, menstrual cycle, stress levels or previous health problems can all provide useful information about what's happening. Treatment is based on what we find during that assessment, and it changes as your health changes.

Areas of interest:

  • menstrual and hormonal concerns

  • endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain

  • PCOS (now PMOS)

  • fertility and preconception care

  • pregnancy and postpartum care

  • perimenopause and menopause

  • digestive symptoms and disorders

  • fatigue

  • sleep problems

Treatment Modalities

A close-up of a person's lower abdomen with an acupuncture needle placed in her upper abdomen, partially covered by clothing.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture uses very fine sterile needles placed at specific points on the body. Treatment is tailored to your presentation on the day and is commonly used alongside lifestyle advice or herbal medicine as part of an overall treatment plan.

Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine uses combinations of herbs prescribed according to your individual presentation. Prescriptions are adjusted as symptoms change and may be used alongside acupuncture or as a treatment in their own right.

Cupping, moxibustion
& other techniques

These approaches are not used routinely, but selected when they are likely to support the overall treatment strategy. The choice of techniques depends on your presentation, treatment goals, and how your body is responding over time.
